Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and what you can do about them. It forms part of our privacy policy, which describes how we handle personal data.
1. What this policy covers
1.1 This website
This policy applies to floorfiller.ai: our own website, the signed-in area for account holders, and the protected results page for visitors.
1.2 The Service
If you use our visualisation button (the "Service") on an account holder's website, the cookie policy of that website applies in the first instance. We only place what is technically necessary to make the Service work; see Section 5.
1.3 Cookies
By "cookies" we mean not only classic cookies, but all techniques by which data is placed on or read from your device: local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar methods.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. They ensure, for example, that you remain signed in, that your preferences are remembered, or that we can measure how often a page is visited.
There is an important distinction between cookies that are necessary to make a service work and cookies that record something about your behaviour. No consent is required for the first group. Consent is required for the second group, unless the impact on your privacy is negligible. Below we explain which group each category falls into.
3. Which cookies we use on floorfiller.ai
3.1 Strictly necessary
Without these, the website does not work. No consent is required for them (Section 11.7a(3)(a) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act).

3.2 Functional
These remember your choices so that you do not have to start again. No consent is required for these either, because you request them yourself by using the feature.

3.3 Analytics
We use OpenPanel for website statistics on floorfiller.ai (such as pages visited and general traffic). OpenPanel is cookieless: no analytics cookies are placed on your device, and nothing is stored in local storage for this purpose. Cookie legislation therefore does not apply to this category.
Where possible, data is aggregated to help us improve the site. What we record is kept as limited as possible:
- which page was requested, at what time, and via which website you reached us;
- the type of device and browser, in broad terms;
- we do not recognise you across other websites and do not share anything with advertisers or other third parties for advertising.
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving and securing our website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). When we use OpenPanel Cloud, processing takes place in the EU. You may object to this; see Section 6.
3.4 Payments
If you, as an account holder, pay for a subscription or credits, our payment provider Mollie may place cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. This happens only on the checkout page and never affects visitors who use the Service. Mollie is independently responsible for this processing; see Mollie's privacy statement.
3.5 What we do not do
We do not place advertising or tracking cookies, we do not use social media pixels, and we do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
4. Third-party cookies
Some technologies are placed by a supplier we engage, such as Supabase or Mollie. We determine ourselves whether and how these are deployed and remain responsible for this. We have made agreements with these parties about what they may do with the data. Which parties these are and where they are established is set out in Section 7 of our privacy policy.
For website statistics on floorfiller.ai we use OpenPanel (cookieless); see Section 3.3. OpenPanel is also listed in Section 7 of our privacy policy.
5. The Service on an account holder's website
When you use the Service on a website, we only store there what is necessary to make the feature work. Your progress through the visualisation steps is kept in your browser's memory during use only; we do not set a cookie or local storage for this. When you create a results page, we manage your access to it via our servers. This is functional processing for which no consent is required.
For the processing of your photo and your data, we do ask for your separate consent in the Service itself. See the end-user terms.
We do not place analytics cookies in the Service. The usage statistics that the account holder sees in their dashboard are based on events on our server and on an irreversibly hashed combination of IP address and browser characteristics, which allows unique sessions to be counted without identifying you. Nothing is stored on your device for this purpose.
6. Your choices
6.1 Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we respect it and do not load analytics functionality.
6.2 Via your browser
In every browser you can view, block, or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some features will no longer work, including remaining signed in.
6.3 Your other rights
Under the GDPR, you have, among other things, the right of access, erasure, and objection. How to exercise these is set out in Section 14 of our privacy policy.
7. Changes
We may amend this policy, for example if we start using a new technology. The current version is always available on this page with the date of the last change. If we start using something for which consent is required, we ask for it in advance and do not place it until you have made your choice.
